What this means
The page states: 24 General (G)
.
Minimum MAGE composite as published on airforce.com; other requirements (age, citizenship, clearance, medical, training) are separate.
Meeting the composite minimum makes you score-eligible for classification into 8G000; it does not guarantee the job. Enlistment itself requires the Air Force's AFQT minimum, and assignment depends on medical, clearance, physical and training-seat factors your recruiter evaluates. The Air Force classification directory (DAFECD), which is the authoritative document, is published only behind a login, so this site can offer one official source rather than two; treat the figure as current as of the check date. Most recent Air Force recruits scored well above the AFQT floor (see the average ASVAB score).
Which ASVAB subtests count toward 8G000
8G000 is judged on one composite. The subtests below are quoted from ASVAB, airforce.com. The Air Force reports each composite as a percentile and does not publish the weights, so this site compares the value printed on your report rather than computing one.
AR + PC + WK
AR (Arithmetic Reasoning), PC (Paragraph Comprehension), WK (Word Knowledge).
If your score is below G ≥ 24
Find the G percentile on your report and note the gap. Because the composites are percentiles, a few more correct answers on the subtests behind them can move the number by several points, most of all in the middle of the scale. MAGE composites and AFQT share the same 1–99 percentile scale; the score chart shows how percentiles group into categories.

A retest is subject to the official retest waiting periods; the Air Force page quotes 30 days before the second and third attempts. Practice results here are raw counts and never convert into a composite percentile.
Other Air Force jobs judged on G (General)
These specialties share the G composite with 8G000, so the same subtests decide your standing for all of them. Jobs at or below 8G000's threshold are fallback options; jobs above it are what a higher G unlocks.
